They’re Here! Poltergeist (1982). My grandma was a huge fan of horror and would use horror movie plotlines as bedtime stories for me. I loved them all, but my favorite story was Poltergeist- she kept in all the details, even the gory bits. When I finally saw the movie at the age of 5 or 6, I knew exactly what was going to happen… “This is when the guy’s face melts off!” Poltergeist holds a special place in my heart… welcome to Cuesta Verde.

I wanted to feature the TV static, pink gooey ectoplasm, and the tennis balls. Maybe the tennis balls are a bit of an obscure reference? Once you enter the closet/gateway to the other side, how do you know where you'll reappear in our world? Tangina knows you test this with tennis balls and you gotta label them with a 1 & 2! It’s SCIENCE!
